Special rivets

The Rivit Special Rivets, thanks to their high technological content, are fastening systems that can be used for special applications. They include the peel rivets, rivets for photovoltaics, multigrip rivets and earth tab rivets.

FIORIV rivets are Rivit peel rivets, ideal for the assembly of thin sheetmetals, but also for soft or brittle materials such as plastic, fiberglass, bricks, plasterboard and wood.

The advantages of the peel rivet depend on its ability to open up into four segments, with four flanges which create and set the rivet itself. The excellent performance is guaranteed by a wide clamping. The peel rivets feature four notches under the head of the mandrel which, in the pulling phase, cut and deform the rivet body into the typical shape of an anchor.

The Rivit’s peel rivets are available in different sizes and they fit various kind of use. For example the Fiorivpanel rivets are ideal to be used on corrugated panels for insulated coverings and on brick hollow flat blocks.

GTRERIV rivets

The structural GTRERIV rivets by Rivit, are made of aluminum alloy, which makes them corrosion-resistant and impermeable to water, and therefore suitable also for precision fastenings. In particular, there rivets, with impermeability ensured by a neoprene gasket under the heed, are ideal for roofing fasteners and for joints subject to weathering.

Quick and easy placing from one side only: the mandrel, firmly locked, ensures a solid and resistant joint, as it breaks flush with the surface with all the specified grip ranges, providing waterproofing. You can use the same rivet for joints with different thicknesses as the alignment with the hole is much easier.

The use of aluminum alloy, corrosion resistant, allows a widespread use of the product on a wide range of fastenings. Since the bearing of the deformed bush I large, the measure of the hole does not need to be precise. Other features of the structural GTRERIV rivets by Rivit, are their being waterproof thanks to the neoprene gasket under the head, excellent grip on curved surfaces, and the high resistance to cuts and vibrations.

Multigrip rivets

The multigrip rivets by Rivit feature a special geometry of the mandrel and of the body which, when deforming, creates a large blind side bearing area, ensuring integrity of the parts to be assembled, especially referring to brittle materials and pre-painted sheetmetals. Also, the Multiriv rivets guarantee the full filling of the hole, even for holes larger than the nominal diameter.

The head of the mandrel compresses the body of the rivet so that the fastening is obtained by compression and not expansion as it happens with the standard blind rivets. The wide clamping capacity of this rivet, makes it possible to use the same length for riveting a wider range of thicknesses and to have a higher hole tolerance. The head of the mandrel never breaks. This rivet is recommended for riveting box-shaped parts, parts subject to vibrations, special parts in aluminum, plastic and resin as it doesn’t warp these types of material.

Earth tab rivets

The Rivit earth tab rivets solve the problem of ground connection in all those electrical equipments for which grounding must be ensured. In particular, they can replace the traditional applications with bolts, nuts and knurled washers which not always comply with the grounding security rules.

The technical validity of this product is ensured by penetration of the faston terminals, which have the function to scratch the surface and reduce the conductivity. The earth tab rivets are made of a copper body and copper steel mandrel. The faston with terminals is made of brass and may have one or more terminals depending on the models
